Variable Speed Sensitivity - On Demand Performance
Our patented GPS technology allows us to make your driving experience free from distractions and less complicated. For example, both models use GPS to vary X and K-band sensitivity based on your vehicle's speed. This allows the detector to provide alerts based on what the vehicle is actually doing. At highway speeds you need to best long range sensitivity you can get. At slower speeds, the sensitivity can be adjusted to further reduce unneeded alerts, especially when you're not at risk. We've even changed the actual alert to a short double-tone when your vehicle is moving less than 20 mph.

Simple and Intuitive Controls
All of products are pre-set and ready to go. However, each of them can be set up for your specific type of driving and personal preference. Our Preferences option allows you to change several options, including which radar bands you'd like to monitor, which meter you would like to see when a signal is detected and whether you'd like to see your vehicle speed during the initial alert. In 1996 Radar Direct Introduced the Valentine One® into New Zealand. Before this the model was unheard of; and after weeks of testing and customization of the internal software we submitted the product to NZ AutoCar for testing.

The result was that the V1 was rated #1 in NZ up until the end of 2004, by 2005 AUNZ models from Escort and Beltronics were snapping at it's heals. For 2011 it remains largely unchanged which is along time in electronics.

Today the 2011 BEL XR and Escort Redline have knocked it off the top rung offering far greater detection range (more than a kilometre) and a host of additional features and functions.
